March 02, (THEWILL) – The English Premier League has announced the six nominees for February’s Player of the Month award with Nigeria’s Kelechi Iheanacho, earning a slot for his performance in Leicester’s colours last month.

Manchester United forward, Marcus Rashford, who won the award in January, is among the favourites to win the prize for the third time this season, after scoring five goals in four games in February.

Competing with Rashford for the award is Iheanacho after scoring two goals and providing three assists in just four appearances for the Foxes. Also included is Tottenham Hotspur’s right-back, Emerson Royal, who was instrumental in his team’s victories over Chelsea, Manchester City and West Ham.

Fulham is the only club to have two players shortlisted for the award: goalkeeper, Bernd Leno and winger, Manor Solomon, for their outstanding February form. Aston Villa striker, Ollie Watkins, is the final nominee, having also scored in each of his four appearances in February.

Fans can vote for their preferred player on the EA Sports website until Monday, March 6, with votes from a panel of experts, also contributing to the final winner.
