June 26, (THEWILL) – Nollywood thespian, Yomi Black, has revealed that celebrities should not be castigated when they campaign for politicians.
He made this known in an interview with Sunday Scoop. He stated, “There are a lot of people involved in campaigning for a president. From those who print posters to those who post it. Entertainers are just one segment of that team or process.
“However, it seems everyone is lashing out at entertainers only. Also, what is it about politics that celebrities do not have a right to believe in the candidate of their choice.
“We are also hoping for the best, while we believe in our candidate. As people that bring joy to the country, I think it is a bit unfair to lash out at us. We are human beings too. Some celebs do it for money though, but some do it because they believe in the candidate.
