June 10, (THEWILL) – American singer, Britney Spears and Sam Asghari, her long time boyfriend, who is a fitness trainer have reportedly tied the knot.
The marriage took place in Southern California, in an intimate ceremony. Asghari’s representative confirmed the couple’s nuptial.
The wedding happened nine months after the pair were engaged and nearly seven months after Spears’ conservatorship ended.
While seeking an end to the court case that controlled many aspects of her life, she expressed her desire to marry Asghari and have children.
She got pregnant earlier this year, but had a miscarriage in March. The couple met on the set of a music video in 2016.
Her wedding day came with a mild drama, when her first husband crashed into the venue.
Ventura County Sheriff’s Capt, Cameron Henderson, said officers responded to a trespassing call after 2 pm on Thursday.
He said the pop singer’s first husband, Jason Alexander, was detained at the ceremony.
Henderson stated that Alexander was arrested after officers noticed there was a warrant for his arrest in another country.
Alexander went on Instagram live when he approached the event security. In what appears to be a mostly empty, but decorated room, he told them Spears invited him.
Alexander was briefly married to Spears, his childhood friend, in 2014, but their marriage only lasted 55 hours.
Spears was previously married to Kevin Federline in 2004, with whom she shared two sons, ages 14 and 15. They divorced in 2007.
