June 28, (THEWILL) – Hollywood actor, Johnny Depp, has refuted returning to Pirate of the Caribbean, after his victory in court against his ex-wife, Amber Heard.
An Australian outlet, Poptopic, had earlier reported that the actor was set to close a deal of $301 million with Disney, to return as Jack Sparrow in the movie.
“Disney is interested in patching up the relationship with Johnny Depp, they are very hopeful that Depp will forgive them and return as their iconic character”, a source told Poptopic.
However, his team has revealed that it is a lie, “This is made up”, a representative from his team told NBC per E.
This comes after the actor told a jury at a Virginia court hearing (defamation case with ex-wife, Amber Heard, which he won) that he would never return to the franchise because of how unkindly they treated him after Heard accused him of domestic and sexual violence.
