July 04, (THEWILL) – Joyce Ijeoma, the Nigerian lady, who embarked on a 72-hour massage marathon, in a quest to set a new Guinness World Record for longest massage by individual collapsed after 50 hours.
The task to set the new record by Ijeoma started on July 1, she posted a flyer of her massage-a-thon on Instagram and called on fans to encourage her.
In a video which surfaced online, the masseuse was massaging a person when she collapsed after doing over 50 hours of massage. A female assistant immediately stepped in to help her as she fell to the floor, while another lady offered water to resuscitate her.
They were able to resuscitate her, but after the ugly incident, she couldn’t continue with the task again. Those who came to cheer her up with the hope of enjoying a massage also left the venue.
