July 11, (THEWILL) – Paul Pogba was re-signed by Juventus from Manchester United on a free transfer, according to the Old Lady.

After about two years of contract disputes, the Frenchman left Old Trafford at the end of June and, for the second time in his career, travelled from Manchester to Turin.

When contract negotiations began to stall as the Old Trafford club faltered, PSG, Real Madrid, and even Manchester City were reportedly interested in signing Pogba. But, he had his mind on a return to Juve and was recently seen finishing a physical at their training facility. On Monday, Juventus announced that they had secured his signature once more.

The announcement was made in a lengthy and candid statement, which finished with: “Paul is back in Turin. He left as a boy and returns as a man and a champion, but there is one thing that has not changed – the desire to write unforgettable pages of club history together once more. Pogba is back and we couldn’t be happier.”

Pogba will retain the number 10 jersey that he wore toward the end of his first stint at the Allianz Stadium.
