September 13, (THEWILL) — Juventus earned a thrilling 4-3 victory over Inter Milan in a captivating Derby d’Italia at the Allianz Stadium, with substitute, Vasilije Adzic, scoring a spectacular winner in stoppage time. The Serbian midfielder struck from 30 yards out, leaving goalkeeper, Yann Sommer, helpless to prevent the ball from finding the top corner.
Igor Tudor’s hosts opened the scoring in the 14th minute through Lloyd Kelly, who converted a precise half-volley from Bremer’s cross. Inter responded on the half-hour mark when Hakan Calhanoglu finished expertly from 20 yards following patient build-up play, before Kenan Yildiz restored Juventus’ lead with a powerful 25-yard effort that proved too strong for Sommer.
The Turkish midfielder, Calhanoglu, drew Inter level once more in the 65th minute with a magnificent chest-and-volley combination. Marcus Thuram then gave the visitors their first advantage of the evening, heading home from Federico Dimarco’s corner delivery in the 76th minute.
Juventus refused to surrender, with Khephren Thuram equalising six minutes later from Yildiz’s free-kick delivery. The dramatic conclusion arrived in the first minute of added time when Adzic’s long-range strike proved decisive for the Bianconeri.
The victory maintains Juventus’ perfect record in Serie A this season, with Tudor’s side demonstrating remarkable character to overcome a determined Inter Milan performance in this seven-goal spectacle.
