April 01, (THEWILL) –Tottenham striker, Harry Kane, has won English Premier League Player of the Month award for the seventh time, equaling a league record.
The accolade means that Kane has passed Liverpool icon, Steven Gerrard, to tie with Sergio Aguero for first place in the all-time monthly award standings.
At the start of 2015, the England captain earned back-to-back Premier League Player of the Month honours and his most recent was in December of 2017.
In March, he scored four Premier League goals and added two assists as Spurs won nine out of a possible twelve points by defeating Everton, Brighton, and West Ham.
Since Son Heung-min won the monthly award in October 2020, Kane is the first Tottenham player to bring it back to Spurs.
