October 19, (THEWILL) – Popular US born-again rapper, Kanye West, has officially changed his name to his long-time two-lettered nickname, ‘Ye’.
According to TMZ, Michelle Williams, Los Angeles Superior Court judge, approved the rapper’s earlier plea for a change of name on Monday.
With this development, the ‘Donda’ singer will simply be known as Ye without a middle or last name henceforth.
The rapper also took to his Instagram page to show his new hair style — in what appears to be a celebration of his name change.
THEWILL recalls that the 44-year-old rapper first hinted at the name change on aTwitter post in September 2018.
“The being formally known as Kanye West. I am YE,” he had written at the time.
