February 08, (THEWILL) – Golden State Warriors’ shooting guard Klay Alexander Thompson has regained the confidence he lost as a result of his injuries. After overcoming adversity off the court, the shooting guard has reclaimed his spot on the Golden State Warriors squad, joining forces with the prolific Stephen Curry.
Thompson scored 21 points to lead the Warriors to a 98-110 victory over the Oklahoma Thunder on Monday. He appeared for 29 minutes and had two assists and two rebounds.
Stephen Curry had another productive night, scoring 18 points, dishing out 10 assists, and grabbing nine rebounds.
Although the game was tied at the end of the first quarter, the Warriors grabbed a 10-point lead into the second. Lunguetz Dort scored 26 points and grabbed four rebounds for the Thunder near the end. However, it was insufficient.
Josh Giddey led the Thunder offence with 16 points, 11 rebounds, and seven assists, while Darius Bazley scored 20 points and eight rebounds.
The real show was on the other side of the court. Thompson and Curry led the Warriors to their eighth consecutive victory, which was aided by Andrew Wiggins’ 15 points and five rebounds.
On Wednesday, the Warriors will travel to Utah to face the Jazz, while the Thunder will play the Toronto Raptors.
