Bauchi stadium

January 27, (THEWILL) – For the remainder of the 2024/2025 Nigeria Premier Football League season, Lobi Stars FC have announced that they will adopt the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium in Bauchi as their new home ground.

This decision comes as the club’s original venue, the Aper Aku Stadium in Makurdi, is currently undergoing renovation.

The relocation to Bauchi is set to provide Lobi Stars with a stable environment to host their home matches.

The shift was confirmed by Lobi Stars’ chairman, Phillip Nongu, following a thorough assessment of the facilities.

The stadium, which already serves as the home ground for the Nigeria National League side Wikki Tourists, will now share its pitch with Lobi Stars.

This temporary arrangement ensures that Lobi Stars can continue their campaign in the NPFL without disruption.

Lobi Stars’ first match at their new temporary home is against Enyimba FC.

This fixture marks the beginning of the second half of the season for Lobi Stars, who aim to leverage their new ground to improve their standing in the league.

The stadium, with a capacity of over 11,000, offers a suitable venue for NPFL matches, providing Lobi Stars with an opportunity to connect with a broader fanbase in Bauchi.

This move not only resolves the issue of playing without a home ground but also presents new prospects for the team to display their talent on a different turf.
