April 26, (THEWILL) – Belgian striker, Romelu Lukaku, could be facing a tough decision at the end of his loan spell at Inter Milan, with new developments potentially bringing him back to Chelsea.
If Mauricio Pochettino takes over as the new manager, it is believed he could offer Lukaku a chance to revive his career in the English Premier League. Lukaku made it clear that he no longer wanted to play under former Chelsea head coach, Thomas Tuchel, following a fallout during his first season back at the club.
However, with injuries and a difficult season at Inter, it is uncertain if the Italians will want to keep him for another season on loan or buy him outright. The recent performances he has put in for the club will be in his favour if results are considered in the decision-making process of keeping him in Serie A.
Despite the striker seemingly preferring to remain at Inter, Chelsea are not ruling out the possibility of Lukaku returning to the team. Talks are expected to be held with the player to discuss his options and whether he is willing to try and revive his career with the London club.
