SAN FRANCISCO, August 10, (THEWILL) – Deceased Nigerian reggae legend, Majek Fashek, will be buried in New York, United States, his son, Randy, who is the first of his three children with his ex-wife, Rita, said in a video on Monday.
Randy also appreciated fans and well-wishers for their love and support and said the family was forced to take the decision to bury Majek abroad due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
He however said a date is yet to be fixed for the interment.
THEWILL reports that Majek died on June 1, 2020 at the age of 57.
