April 12, (THEWILL) – Three of England’s biggest football clubs, Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal, have expressed interest in signing Ryan Gravenberch from Bayern Munich.
The Dutch midfielder joined Bayern from Ajax last summer, but has struggled to make an impact in his debut season in Germany. He has played only 323 minutes of Bundesliga football and was not used in Bayern’s recent UEFA Champions League defeat to Manchester City.
Gravenberch is said to be analysing his future at Bayern, as new boss, Thomas Tuchel, continues to overlook him in favour of Leon Goretzka and Joshua Kimmich. With Bayern set to sign Konrad Laimer on a free transfer, competition for places in midfield will only intensify.
Meanwhile, United, Liverpool, and Arsenal are all looking to strengthen their midfield options and have been keeping tabs on Gravenberch’s situation. United are reportedly looking for a ball-playing number eight and have also been linked with Mateo Kovacic of Chelsea and Orkan Kokcu of Feyenoord.
Liverpool, on the other hand, are targeting up to three midfielders and have withdrawn from the race to sign Jude Bellingham due to his high price tag. The Reds are said to be considering a number of options, including Mason Mount of Chelsea and Sofyan Amrabat of Fiorentina. Arsenal, who were interested in signing Moises Caicedo in January, may also look to bring in Youri Tielemans from Leicester City.
