June 10, (THEWILL) –Â Manchester United has published their retained list for the 2022/2023 season, as well as the players who will not be granted new contracts and will be released from the club.
Paul Pogba, Nemanja Matic, Jesse Lingard and Edinson Cavani, all first-team players, have left the club, despite having been announced to leave prior to Friday’s announcement. Lee Grant, the backup goalie, is also on his way out, having announced his retirement at the age of 39.
D’Mani Mellor, Reece Devine, and Connor Stanley from the academy have not been offered new contracts, but United is striving to find them other teams. Injury prompted goalkeeper, Paul Wooston to retire, but he maintains in communication with the Red Devils about future support.
United have activated a contract extension clause in Wales international Dylan Levitt’s contract, following his loan spell with Dundee United north of the border, but Slovakia U21 midfielder, Martin Svidersky, is expected to leave despite being handed a new contract.
