September 01, (THEWILL) – Manchester United have completed the signing of Turkish goalkeeper, Altay Bayindir, from Fenerbahce.
The deal is reportedly worth around £4 million and will see Bayindir sign a four-year contract, with the option for an additional year. The signing comes after Dean Henderson’s departure from Old Trafford was confirmed on Thursday evening. Henderson has joined Crystal Palace permanently for £15 million plus £5 million in add-ons, ending his 12-year association with United after making just 29 first-team appearances.
Upon joining, Bayindir said: “It is a huge honour to join Manchester United and become the first Turkish player to represent this incredible club. I have a passion for success and I will give everything to help this special group of players achieve our ambitions.”

Having consistently performed at a high level in a strong European league, he has the qualities to support us in achieving our ambitions across all competitions this season and beyond.”
At 26 years old, Bayindir will provide competition for first-choice goalkeeper Andre Onana. With extensive European experience, Bayindir will be eager to make the most of the opportunity at one of the biggest clubs in world football.
