The residence was Angelou’s New York home for almost a decade, though her main residence was in Winston-Salem, NC. It is located on the West 120th Street. It’s a five five-bedroom, five-bathroom stunner with an 800-square-foot kitchen. She hosted friends like Oprah Winfrey and Cicely Tyson as well as other powerful personalities at the residence.

She died in May 2014 at age 86.
