November 26, (THEWILL) – American actress and Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, has levelled accusations in a new book, claiming that two members of the royal household made racist comments against her.
In the book titled, ‘Endgame: Inside the Royal Family and the Monarchy’s Fight for Survival,’ Meghan accused two royal household members of racism.
Meghan reportedly wrote private letters to King Charles III, revealing the individuals involved.
This revelation follows Meghan’s earlier mention of concerns about her son Archie’s skin colour during a tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey in March 2021.
Meghan expressed, “He won’t be given security, he’s not going to be given a title,” along with concerns about the potential darkness of Archie’s skin.
Prince Harry chose not to provide further details during the interview, but Prince William, in response, defended his family, asserting that they were very much not a racist family.
Yet, Meghan’s April correspondence with King Charles III, addressing the royal family’s purported unconscious bias, affirmed the existence of a conversation within the royal household about Archie’s skin colour.
Although the identity of the two individuals is unknown and it is uncertain whether the involved people are members of the royal family or simply people who worked for them, it is confirmed that they are part of the royal household, and their identities cannot be disclosed due to United Kingdom laws.
The unveiling of ‘Endgame: Inside the Royal Family and the Monarchy’s Fight for Survival’ on Tuesday, would further provide insights into these allegations.
This development adds a significant layer to the ongoing saga of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s departure from the royal family, shedding light on their revelations about their experiences within it.
