April 02, (THEWILL) – OGC Nice struggled to find their rhythm and secure a win during their match against Angers SCO on Sunday, resulting in a 1-1 draw.

The Aiglons led early on through another Terem Moffi goal but failed to maintain their advantage as they were constantly threatened by Angers throughout the match. This marks the fourth consecutive Ligue 1 draw for Nice, while Angers finally ended their losing streak of five matches.

Despite their early lead, Nice failed to demonstrate their usual form and lacked sharpness, creativity, and enthusiasm, making it difficult for them to claim victory. In contrast, Angers displayed impressive skills and deserved to secure a win. The last time Angers won in Ligue 1 was in September when they defeated Nice by a lone goal.

With this draw, Nice fell further behind in the European places, while Angers gain some respite. Nice now sit in eighth place with 45 points and Angers are still stuck at the bottom of the league with 11 points, 15 points adrift of the first non-relegation spot occupied by RC Strasbourg.

It does not get better for Angers, who are up against fifth-placed side Lille on Saturday, the same day when Nice host Ligue 1 leaders Paris Saint-Germain.
