July 18, (THEWILL) – AS Roma manager, Jose Mourinho, took to social media to reveal his first-ever tattoo that commemorates being the first manager to win all three-tier European competitions in existence.
As THEWILL reported, last season, the Portuguese manager guided Roma to lift the maiden edition of the UEFA Europa Conference League, defeating Cyriel Dessers and his Feyenoord side by a lone goal. Victory at the Arena Kombetare earned Mourinho a fifth European title, after winning the Champions League with Porto and Inter Milan, the UEFA Cup with Porto, and the Europa League with Manchester United.
The tattoo design had the image of the Conference League, Europa League and Champions League trophies along with the colours of the clubs he won them with.
The self-styled “Special One” wrote on Instagram: “This is my tattoo. The joy of the Roman people led me to do it. Then I thought about something special, something that would honour all the clubs, where I won European competitions.
“At the same time, I wanted a unique tattoo, one that, so far, I am the only one who can have it. Alberto showed me some proposals, I just changed a few details. Here is my tattoo.”
