November 14, (THEWILL) – Ayo Balogun, aka Wizkid, has given reasons for naming his new album More Love, Less Ego.
The singer released his fifth studio album Friday, November 11, after weeks of teasing.
He made this known in a chat with Apple Music. According to him, the title of the album is to show what the world needs at a time like this.
He added that “More Love, Less Ego is a therapeutic project that should heal the world considering the insecurity issues bedevilling Africa.
“The phrase More Love, Less Ego is part of my life, it is like a progression. The last one was Made In Lagos, that is where I’m from. You already know where I’m from.
“It’s just to show you what the world actually needs at this time, right now, at this moment. It’s absolutely more love and less ego.
“Everyone absolutely needs the expression right now and there’s more to crave. 2022 right now before our eyes, they are bombing people right now in Africa, it’s crazy. This is the album that helps to heal things”, he stated.
