December 29, (THEWILL) – Nigerian singer, Oyinkansola Sarah Aderigbigbe, aka Ayra Starr, has reacted to claims that she cannot sing, saying that her voice has become “strained” recently.
THEWILL writes that critics recently questioned her vocal prowess.
Reacting, the singer took to her social media accounts on Tuesday to explain the condition of her voice.
“My lovesss, I’ve been performing almost every day since October, of course, my voice is strained, I be human being,” she wrote.
The Away crooner also disclosed that despite her “strained” voice, she is still very much talented.
“So please dead that Ayra Starr cannot sing bs, dead it fast fast. It’s all talent and grace here baby,” she added.
THEWILL writes that the 19-year-old songwriter signed to Mavin Records in 2020 and released her debut self-titled EP in January 2021.
