August 01, (THEWILL) – American singer, Shaffer Chimere Smith, professionally known as Ne-Yo, has called on his fans to respect him and give his family the privacy to work through the collapse of his marriage.
Ne-Yo’s wife, Crystal, had alleged that he cheated on her with multiple women in an emotional statement.
She added that though she gained three children out of the union, she got nothing else except heartbreaks and headaches.
She advised people to stop sending her videos and information about him cheating because whatever he does is no longer her concern.
“8 years of lies and deception. 8 years of unknowingly sharing my life and husband with numerous women who sell their bodies to him unprotected …every last one of them,” she said in an Instagram post.
Reacting to the news, Ne-Yo took to his Twitter handle to say, “For the sake of our children, my family and I will work through our challenges behind closed doors.
“Personal matters are not meant to be addressed and dissected in public forums. I simply ask that you please respect me and my family’s privacy at this time”, he wrote.
