November 02, (THEWILL) – Auwalu Jada, a member of the Nigeria Professional Football League’s Interim Management Committee (IMC), has been suspended by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), due to allegations of match manipulation.

According to the NFF, Jada’s suspension is pending investigations into a viral video making the rounds online for a few days and appears to feature the Committee member compromising himself with bogus boasts of his ability to influence the results of matches.

Mohammed Sanusi, the NFF General Secretary, made this known recently, saying: “Auwalu Baba Jada has been suspended from all football-related activities pending investigations into the video recording in which he is apparently the principal character. The investigations will be conducted by the ethics and integrity units of the Nigeria Football Federation.

“Auwalu Baba Jada will have no role in any football activity, event or programme until the investigations are concluded, and this also means he is summarily suspended from his membership of the Interim Management Committee of the Nigeria Professional Football League.”
