
September 11, (THEWILL) – Kenneth Petty, husband to popular American rapper, Nicki Minaj, has pleaded guilty to his failure to register as a sex offender.
According to PageSix, Petty pleaded guilty in a virtual court hearing on Thursday to a charge of failure to register as a sex offender in California.
Nicki Minaj’s husband is facing up to 10 years in prison — the maximum sentence allowed for the crime — and a lifetime of supervised release.
THEWILL writes that Petty was arrested in 2002 over the offense.
The husband of the celebrated musician was arrested as he failed to register as a sex offender in the city.
Petty relocated to California from New York in July 2019 but police authorities stated that he got pulled over in Beverly Hills in November 2019 and that’s when his legal troubles began.
Available reports indicate that Petty was pulled over in November and arrested for not registering as a sex offender in California.
