November 09, (THEWILL) – Jamal Musiala had a number of attractive foreign choices to pledge his international football to, including England, before electing to stay with Germany.
But it was not just England that missed the opportunity to sign Jamal Musiala for their senior team.
Nigeria was likewise left in the dust when the Bayern Munich superstar chose to play for Germany. When Gernot Rohr, the Super Eagles’ coach, discovered Musiala would not be playing for the Super Eagles, he was understandably sad.
Rohr said: “Musiala is coming from here (Bayern Munich). Musiala I have the regret, he could also play for Nigeria but he decided to play for Germany. Wonderful player.”
Under Hansi Flick, Musiala has a decent chance of playing time during this round of games. Despite his several call-ups, Musiala has yet to play a significant amount of minutes for Bayern Munich and might be one of Flick’s go-to players, particularly against Armenia on Sunday.
