Nigeria Tweaks Nationwide Curfew Time

BEVERLY HILLS, September 03, (THEWILL) – The Federal Government Thursday adjusted the period of the countrywide curfew imposed to curtail the spread of the coronavirus to between midnight to 4am daily. The previous curfew period was from 10pm to 4am daily.

National Coordinator of the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19, Dr Sani Aliyu, announced the development during a briefing of the task force in Abuja, the federal capital.

“We are modifying the curfew to commence from 12 midnight to 4am nationwide, effective from 12:00 tonight.

“This does not apply to people on essential services and international travellers that might be returning from abroad,” he said.

Nigeria reported 216 new cases of the virus Wednesday.
