August 10, (THEWILL) – Nollywood director, Otu Njama, has passed on.
He was reportedly found dead at his apartment in Badore, Ajah, Lagos state, on Tuesday night.
He was said to have seen his doctor, who told him that his blood pressure was too high and that he should rest.
Media personality, Shaibu Hussieni, confirmed his death in a post on his Facebook page on Wednesday.
Hussieni said the filmmaker died hours after he paid a tribute to Biyi Bandele, his colleague, who passed away on Monday.
According to him, the movie producer recently invited him to a concert to promote ‘Sweet Mother’, his forthcoming concert.
Hussieni said the concert was billed to hold on Thursday.
“He sent me a formal invitation for his much anticipated ‘Sweet Mother Concert’ yesterday and followed it up with a call for my attendance and coverage of the event at 1 pm yesterday.
“The show holds tomorrow, but this morning we heard that the Filmmaker of ‘inhibition’ Fame Otu Njama 3 is dead!
“02′, in his early thirties, reportedly died early today. Shocking….Tragic and devastating! To know that he joined us yesterday to pay tribute to Biyi yesterday on the elite WhatsApp platform for creatives Filmic! Kai!!!
“Journey well Otu Njama! You were too good to die! Safe bro! Lord, please put an end to this foul spirit of untimely death… yesterday it was Biyi Bandele and today it is Otu!!! This is too much to bear, Lord!! Please have mercy”, he lamented.
