SAN FRANCISCO, December 03, (THEWILL) – Minister of Environment, Amina J Mohammed along with 12 other women were photographed by Inez and Vinoodh for Vogue magazine.
The 13 women referred to by the magazine as Climate Warriors, are working together to put an end to poverty and climate change.
The minister, who is also the special adviser on post-2015 development planning to United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, told the magazine, ““In Africa, you don’t just think about the children that you bear, every child is yours.”
She also said climate change has exacerbated poverty in Nigeria. “It has come together as the perfect storm to create situations that have fueled Boko Haram, the terrorists that live in my part of the country. But, I think we’re getting nearer the light at the end of the tunnel.”
