SAN FRANCISCO, July 01, (THEWILL) – A blast late Tuesday night shook Kaduna city and destroyed several buildings and cars within the vicinity of the explosion, witnesses said.
The bomb explosion occurred around the Nnamdi Azikiwe Way around 8.30pm (local time). The bomb was reportedly planted near a kiosk that sold provisions and cigarettes.
No one died during the blast but two people were wounded, according to the Kaduna State Police Commissioner, Mr. Umar Shehu.
Earlier in the day, two explosions – one in Ile-Ife, Osun State, Western Nigeria and another targeting a market in Maiduguri, Borno State, the main base of the terrorist group Boko Haram, killed about 50 persons. There were no casualties in the Ile-Ife blast.
