May 04, (THEWILL) – Ace Nollywood actor, David Osagie, who is known for playing king’s role in movies, is dead.
Abubakar Yakubu, the national secretary of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), confirmed Osagie’s demise on Wednesday.
“With deep pain in our hearts, but with total submission to the will of God, we bring to the notice the death of one of our very committed member in Delta State, Sir David Osagie.
“Until his death, he was an active member of the Guild, who was ready to contribute in any little way he could to move the guild forward.
“His death is a big loss to AGN and Nollywood at large. We pray that God will accept his soul and grant him eternal rest.
The circumstances surrounding his death has not yet been ascertained.
But in her tribute, Ngozi Ezeh, who said the actor was not sick.
Another actress, Ibiwari Etuk stated that the deceased filmed a day before his demise. He went home to rest, but never woke up.
Osagie’s death makes it the third that would hit Nollywood in the last five days.
