July 11, (THEWILL) – The fortification of returnee English Premier League side, Nottingham Forest, continued on Monday, with the confirmation of the signing of Neco Williams from Liverpool.
The right-back, who is 21 years old, made 33 appearances for the Reds at the senior level, but the level of performance maintained by Liverpool constant, Trent Alexander-Arnold, prevented him from breaking into the starting lineup.
The Wales international assisted Fulham in winning the Championship by spending the second half of last season on loan there. Williams received many offers from Premier League clubs despite the Cottagers’ best efforts to keep him, but will now play for Steve Cooper’s Nottingham Forest as their sixth senior acquisition of the summer.
Williams spoke on the club’s official website and stated his enthusiasm for joining: “I’m really excited to join Nottingham Forest and to help this great club move forwards in the Premier League.
