BEVERLY HILLS, AUGUST 8, (THEWILL) – President Barack Obama 55th birthday party was his last at the 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue White House and it was a massive gig with one guest in attendance calling it a “blowout.”
The private Friday night party which sailed through Saturday morning, was also classified as the press was barred from covering it and lucky invited guests were asked not to tweet photos for the social media even though some did any, according to THEWILL checks.
The White House had released a statement before the gig saying: “The guest list includes a large number of family members and friends to mark the occasion. The private event will be paid for with the family’s personal funds.”
The roll call of guests at the gig included Vice President Joseph Biden and Mrs. Biden, Hillary Clinton, Nancy Pelosi, Jason Wu, John Legend, Beyoncé and Jay Z, Jennifer Hudson, Sarah Jessica Parker, George Lucas, Nick Jonas, Ellen DeGeneres, Magic Johnson, Timbaland, Kendrick Lamar, Stevie Wonder, Usher, Alan Horn, Ted Sarandos, Harvey Weinstein, Richard Plepler, Michael Kors, Rev. Al Sharpton, Sir Paul McCartney, Grant Hill, Marc Lasry, Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel, NBA star Chris Paul, hip-hop artists Common and Alonzo Morning amongst others.
