February 02, (THEWILL) – Levante Las Planas, a Spanish Primera Iberdrola football club, has signed Ngozi Okobi-Okeoghene, a forward from the Super Falcons, on a free transfer.
Okobi-Okeoghene agreed to a five-year contract with the club, which will keep her at Levante Las Planas until 2028. The 29-year-old will play alongside her Super Falcons teammate, Rita Chikwelu, who joined the club last year.
Okobi-Okeoghene started her football career at Delta Queens before moving to the United States to play for Washington Spirit in the National Women’s Soccer League in 2015. She then moved to Europe in 2016, to play for Swedish club, Vittsjö GIK before joining Eskilstuna United in 2018, where she spent five years.
The talented forward made her international debut for the Super Falcons in 2010, after excelling at the youth level for the Falconets and Flamingoes. She is a versatile forward, who has made significant contributions to the Nigerian team. She was part of the Super Falcons squad that won the Africa Women’s Cup of Nations in 2010, 2014, 2016, and 2018.
With her impressive track record and vast experience, Okobi-Okeoghene is poised to make a major impact at Levante Las Planas.
