June 20, (THEWILL) – On and Warner Bros. Discovery Sports Europe have joined forces to commemorate June 20, World Refugee Day, by providing original programming and content that sheds light on the experiences of refugees and athletes and the hurdles they face in their daily lives.

To enhance the connection between sports fans and refugee causes, On’s feature film, “The Right to Race”, starring refugee athlete, Dominic Lobalu, will premiere on Eurosport 1. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery will showcase the impact of athletics on improving lives by producing six athlete profiles for On Ambassadors.

The Right to Race, an original documentary presented by On in association with Hungry Man Productions, is a captivating story written and directed by award-winning filmmaker, Richard Bullock.

The film follows Dominic Lobalu’s journey from his early days in Nairobi to his life in various European cities, highlighting his special bond with his coach, Markus Hagmann. Negotiations with World Athletics to recognise Lobalu as an international contender representing his home country take centre stage in this inspiring feature film.

Despite setbacks, Lobalu’s story reveals his personal growth, unwavering determination, and courage in his pursuit of recognition, and it will be released ahead of this year’s World Athletics Championships.
