March 22, (THEWILL) – Andre Onana, Cameroon’s goalkeeper, was in a terrible auto accident just days before his team’s Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Algeria.

On Tuesday morning, the Ajax shot-stopper was apparently on his way to Douala from the capital city of Yaounde for practice when the incident occurred.

He did, however, survive the three-vehicle collision without major harm. There have been no recorded casualties so far. It means the goalkeeper is still eligible for Friday’s match against the former African Cup of Nations champions.

Meanwhile, the Indomitable Lions will be without Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa of Napoli for the aforementioned match.

Last Saturday, the 26-year-old was hurt while playing for his side against Udinese in Serie A, where they fought back from a goal down, thanks to Nigeria striker Victor Osimhen’s double, to win 2-1.

Zambo Anguissa played the entire game, but was injured, according to the Indomitable Lions, who have since replaced him with Arnaud Djoum of Apollon Limassol.
