
November 11, (THEWILL) – Paris FC defeated Montpellier 4-2 in a lively match, strengthening their third position in the standings.
Margaux Garbino opened the scoring for Paris FC in the 11th minute, setting the tone for an intense game. Montpellier’s Ifeoma Onumonu responded with an equaliser in the 26th minute, making it 1-1.
Paris FC regained the lead in the 32nd minute when Kader Bussy scored, assisted by Kaja Korosec. The home side held this advantage as the first half ended 2-1.
The second half saw both teams battling hard, and Nigerian forward Onumonu struck again for Montpellier in the 80th minute, bringing the score to 2-2.
However, Paris FC responded swiftly. Substitute Jocelyne Dufour scored in the 88th minute with an assist from Daphne Corboz, pushing Paris FC ahead.
Dufour struck again in added time to complete the 4-2 scoreline. Her late goals sealed an important win for Paris FC, while Montpellier put up a strong fight but fell short in the final minutes.
