SAN FRANCISCO, November 28, (THEWILL) –Â President Muhammadu Buhari would be represented by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, SAN, at the second term inauguration of Kenya’s President Uhuru Kenyatta in Nairobi.
Kenyatta is to be sworn in for his second, five-year term on Tuesday, ending months of political turmoil in the east African nation.
Kenyatta won a repeat presidential election on October 26 after opposition leader Raila Odinga boycotted the vote, citing concerns over fairness.
Prof. Osinbajo would be joining several other heads of State and Government from Africa and beyond who are expected at the swearing-in ceremony holding at the Kasarani Sports Complex in the country’s capital city.
A statement by the Senior Special Assistant on Media and publicity, Laolu Akande, said that the Vice President left Abuja on Monday night accompanied by the Foreign Affairs Minister of State, Mrs. Khadija Bukar Abba Ibrahim.
