September 12, (THEWILL) – Uzoamaka Ohiri, the former wife of Nedu Wazobia, had been reportedly barred from criticising the comedian and media personality on social media amid the paternity scandal rocking their union.

The pair have been in the spotlight since Nedu shared the results of a DNA test showing their first son is not his.

Things took a new turn when officers of the state criminal investigation department (SCID) in Panti invited Uzoamaka.

According to The Punch, the letter, with reference number CR:3000/LSX/D10/Vol.3/71 and signed by Fayoade Adegoke, SCID’s deputy commissioner of police, asked Uzoamaka over for a fact-finding session.

In the letter dated September 7, Uzoamaka was ordered to meet Margaret Ighodalo for the interrogation.

On arrival at the SCID on Wednesday, the comedian’s ex-wife was reportedly grilled for six hours during which the officers were said to have also taken her photographs.

She was thereafter granted administrative bail and asked her to return the next day, Thursday.

When she returned on Thursday, Uzoamaka was reportedly asked to stop making social media posts about her former husband before asking her to return again on Friday.

A relative to Nedu’s ex-wife was quoted as condemning the action of the police and subsequent three-day grilling.

“My cousin is seriously being harassed, humiliated and intimidated by the Police because of the status of her ex-husband,” Uzoamaka’s relative was quoted as saying.

“How does a family and civil matter concern the Police? The Commissioner of Police needs to caution his men.”
