BEVERLY HILLS, August 02, (THEWILL) – The opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has expressed optimism that it would be winning no fewer than 30 states in the 2019 general elections, leaving the All Progressives Congress, APC, and other parties to grapple for the remaining six.
PDP National Publicity Secretary, Prince Dayo Adeyeye, who made this known on Tuesday, maintained that despite the party’s defeat in the last round of elections, the PDP remains a party of choice for Nigerians.
He pointed out that this was evidenced in jubilations across the country which trailed the resolution of the party’s leadership crisis by the Supreme Court recently.
Adeyeye stated this at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja, when a governorship aspirant in Anambra State, Dr Alex Obiogbolu picked the Expression of Interest/ Nomination form for the party’s governorship primary.
Asserting that “we want PDP to have 30 governors in 2019,” the party’s spokesman was confident that the PDP will win the November 18Anambra governorship election and proceed to win a total of 30 governorship seats across the country in the 2019 polls.
