Perpetrators Of Kaduna Violence Will Be Punished – El-Rufai Declares

SAN FRANCISCO, October 23, (THEWILL) – The Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai has stated that he is saddened by the violence and killings in the state and declaring that the perpetrators will be punished.

He gave the assurance in a brief state-wide broadcast on Monday in Kaduna, the state capital.

“I address you today, with a heavy heart, saddened by the violence and loss of lives in parts of our state since Thursday, the 18th of October 2018, when unrest broke out in Kaso Magani.

“The state government promptly imposed a curfew in the area. We visited Kaso Magani on Friday the 19th of October, 2018, to see things for ourselves, to commiserate with the people and to assess the security situation which had by then, become calm.

“We condemned the violence and extend our sympathy to the victims, the survivors and their families.

“I assure everyone affected that we will seek justice for them and clearly underline that criminals will be punished according to our laws”.
