May 23, (THEWILL) – AC Milan’s manager, Stefano Pioli’s league winner’s medal was stolen from him following the game versus Sassuolo.
Pioli was given his medal as part of the award ceremony in which all of the players also received one, but it was later revealed that his had been stolen during the post-match news conference.
“They snatched my medal in the celebrations. If you can launch an appeal, thank you, it’s the only one I have,” the manager said.
Despite the fact that no one has come forward with any information, Pioli will not have to wait long for another one. Lega Serie A responded to the incident on Twitter with the following: “Hey Mr. Pioli, we’ll give you the medal again tomorrow.”
He will get his award back to commemorate his first Scudetto, and he will have to be extra careful this time, especially during the open-top bus parade scheduled across the city, to make sure he does not lose it again.
