His form has been questionable since his arrival at Stamford Bridge. Werner’s time in the city has been marked by offside goals and woeful misses, with the German scoring 15 goals in 64 games.
Rangnick, according to the German tabloid Bild, is eager to give his former star an opportunity to rekindle his stale Blues career. For now, there are few details on the probable transfer, although Rangnick’s good friendship with Blues coach Thomas Tuchel may help things go smoothly.
Werner is open-minded about his Chelsea future and despite his happiness at the club, he is eager to keep his spot in the Germany team as the 2022 World Cup approaches. This will imply be earns more playing minutes which may be hard to come by at Stamford Bridge.
