July 18, (THEWILL) – Manchester United, on Tuesday, announced that England forward, Marcus Rashford, has extended his contract with the club until June 2028.

The 25-year-old, who made his debut for United in 2016, has played nearly 360 games for the club and scored 123 goals in all competitions, including 30 in the 2022-2023 season. Rashford was delighted to continue at Old Trafford and spoke about the future and his determination to win more trophies with the team under their current manager.

Reflecting on his journey, Rashford stated: “I joined Manchester United as a seven-year-old boy with a dream. That same passion, pride, and determination to succeed still drive me every time I have the honour of wearing the shirt.” The young forward, who recently won Manchester United’s Player of the Year and Players’ Player of the Year awards for the 2022-2023 season, emphasised his commitment to the club and his desire to achieve greater success in the years ahead.

Manchester United Football Director, John Murtough, praised Rashford’s dedication and growth since joining the club’s Academy 18 years ago. Murtough remarked: “Ever since he joined our Academy 18 years ago, Marcus has epitomised what it takes to succeed as a Manchester United player. He is a brilliant talent but also humble, dedicated, and driven.”

Murtough acknowledged Rashford’s prime years and was confident that there is still much more to come from the talented forward as he strives to achieve greater levels of success with the Red Devils.
