March 10, (THEWILL) – Marcus Rashford has made history by winning the English Premier League’s Player of the Month award for February, marking his third win in a single season and equalling the record set by Mohamed Salah in the 2017/2018 campaign.

The United forward also became the first player to win back-to-back Player of the Month awards since Ilkay Gundogan, earlier this year. Reacting to his latest win, Rashford took to Twitter to express his gratitude and credit his teammates and staff for their contribution to his success.

“Over the moon to have won MU & PL Player Of The Month again,” he posted. “Setbacks will happen but as long as we stay focused and stay together we will always see the light at the end of the tunnel!”

The award comes after Rashford scored five goals in four matches for the Red Devils in February, including in wins over Crystal Palace, Leicester, and Leeds. Despite facing competition from a range of top-performing players, including Kelechi Iheanacho, Bernd Leno, and Ollie Watkins, Rashford ultimately emerged as the fan and expert panel favorite for the award.

This marks Rashford’s fourth career Player of the Month award and cements his position as one of the most promising young players in the EPL.
