May 17, (THEWILL) – Spanish giants Real Madrid expects Kylian Mbappe to decide on his future before the UEFA Champions League final later this month, and Los Blancos are confident in their ability to sign him.
Real had been after Mbappe for years and attempted to sign him last summer, but the deal fell through at the last minute. However, their interest in the forward has remained strong this season, with his contract scheduled to expire in the summer.
Despite this, PSG remain hopeful that he will sign a new contract in the French city. This season, the attacker has 36 goals and 26 assists in 45 matches, which is another great season for him.
As THEWILL previously reported, Mbappe recently stated that his long-awaited future decision will be made “very soon” and Real expects him to make his decision before the UEFA Champions League final on Saturday, May 28.
Club sources believe Mbappe will choose to move to Spain, despite the fact that personal terms have still to be agreed upon with the 23-year-old.
PSG, meanwhile, are adamant that Mbappe will stay at the club, with conversations with the Frenchman continuing in a final attempt to persuade him to reject Real’s offers and extend his time in Paris.
