April 20, (THEWILL) –Â On Wednesday, Cristiano Ronaldo returned to Carrington to train with the rest of the Manchester United team.
Following the death of his young son, the striker was placed on indefinite compassionate leave and was not present for Tuesday’s defeat to Liverpool, for which his family expressed their gratitude following an outpouring of support from both home and away fans.
On Wednesday, United returned to training, and Ronaldo was spotted arriving at the complex. The 37-year-old took part in a full session with the rest of his teammates before departing.
There is no word on whether Ronaldo will travel to Arsenal on Saturday, with United stating that he will be given as much time as he requires to support himself and his family.
United were thrashed 4-0 by Liverpool on Tuesday without Cristiano Ronaldo. For Ralf Rangnick’s side, Marcus Rashford and Anthony Elanga started in attack, but none of them really rose to the occasion as they were outclassed by the Reds.
