October 09, (THEWILL) – On Sunday, Manchester United came from behind to defeat Everton 2-1 in the English Premier League after Alex Iwobi’s sensational opener thanks to Cristiano Ronaldo’s 700th goal in club football.
A long-range effort from Iwobi gave Everton the lead after a Casemiro error to the pleasure of the home fans. But Antony equalised 10 minutes later to continue his impressive start to life in England, with his third goal in three appearances so far.
In the back-and-forth first half at Goodison Park, Ronaldo, who came on as a first-half substitute after Anthony Martial got injured, scored with a low, left-footed shot to claim all three points for the visitors.
