Sergio Aguero

November 01, (THEWILL) – Sergio Aguero will be out for at least three months while undergoing treatment for a heart condition.

As THEWILL reported, Aguero complained of chest discomfort and dizziness during Barca’s La Liga encounter against Alaves over the weekend. As a result, the 33-year-old was substituted off play to be attended to properly.

He was rushed to the hospital for a cardiac checkup, where he was diagnosed with a heart rate rhythm issue.

In a statement, Barcelona announced that he will undergo therapy and will not play again this year: “Barca player Kun Aguero has been subjected to a diagnostic and therapeutic process by Dr. Josep Brugada.

“He is unavailable for selection and, during the next three months, the effectiveness of treatment will be evaluated in order to determine his recovery process.”

After joining Barcelona as a free agent from Manchester City in the summer, Aguero has had a rocky start to life in Spain. The Argentine made his debut on October 17 as he was recuperating from injury, and he has only scored once in five games so far.

This is a very painful setback for the striker and will be tough too for the forward line that could use the scoring prowess of a player like Aguero.
