BEVERLY HILLS, JULY 20, (THEWILL) – James Entwistle, the outgoing United States (US) ambassador to Nigeria, was absent again, on Wednesday, at the resumed hearing on the allegation of sexual misconduct levelled against three members of the federal House of Representatives.
The three lawmakers accused of sexual misconduct are Mohammed Gololo, Samuel Ikon and Mark Gbillah.
THEWILL recalls that Entwistle failed to appear at the hearing last Thursday when the hearing was initially scheduled to commence, failing to offer any explanation.
Entwistle had revealed that he was in possession of video evidence of his allegation of sex scandal against the lawmakers and was supposed to present the evidence at the hearing.
Also, Geoffrey Onyeama, Minister of Foreign Affairs, was also absent from the hearing.
The Minister, last week, pleaded for another date because of an Africa Union (AU) summit he attended in Kigali, Rwanda.
Ossai Ossai, Chairman of the house joint committees on ethics and privileges and foreign affairs, read another letter from Onyeama explaining that he would not be available due to the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting scheduled for the day as well.
He however pleaded for another date.
